What is Olaplex?
Olaplex hair repair treatment is getting heaps of buzz in our salon! It is available in a couple of forms – Olaplex can be mixed in with colouring products to minimise hair damage, or used as separate, in-salon hair treatment.
Olaplex is an advanced hair strengthening formula that we add to your hair dye, lightener or bleach mix. It is for advanced hair protection and helps to minimise hair damage during a colour service.
Olaplex is especially good for people who have damaged hair from excessive bleaching (blonde hair), and it prolongs your hair colour too. It can also be added to perms, hair straighteners and relaxers.

Frequently asked questions
What is Olaplex?
Olaplex is a hair repair and strengthening treatment
How does it work?
It works in three stages, here’s how:
First, Olaplex Number 1: Bond Multiplier is used – this can be put on the hair as a stand-alone treatment, or if (like in my case) you’re getting your colour done, it is mixed in with the bleach and put straight onto your hair in foils
Olaplex Number 2, Bond Perfector is then put on the hair once the bleach is rinsed out. This is left on for a good 20 minutes to really get the most out of its chemical mending.
Olaplex Number 3, Hair Perfector is where you take things into your own hands. The third step is a take home treatment, which the guys at Nevilles recommend you use once a week. Apply to damp hair, comb through, and leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes at home before washing as normal. If you want to maximise the effect, leave it on overnight (as Kim K recommends).
How long does it take?
Olaplex is a three-part treatment, the first two of which have to be done in a salon it can add up to 40mins depending on the other treatments you are getting. The final stage at home can be left for 1+ hours per week.
